Bottle Trap

The VelocityUSA Bottle Trap is a no-nonsense bottle cage mount built for riders who want their hydration secure and accessible on every ride. Whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats, navigating Pune's traffic, or clocking distance on a Chennai coastal route, keeping water within reach matters — and this mount is designed to do exactly that reliably.

Our Take

At Rs. 179, the VelocityUSA Bottle Trap is one of the most practical additions you can make to any bike setup. Indian riding conditions — potholed city streets, rough Deccan plateau roads, and the vibration of long highway runs — demand a cage mount that actually holds its grip. This one delivers a secure, rattle-free fit that keeps your bottle in place when the road surface gets unpredictable. Straightforward, dependable, and genuinely good value.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Bottle Trap fits standard bottle cage bolt patterns, so it works with virtually any frame's cage mounts without adaptation. No European-to-Indian sizing conversion applies here, but do check your frame's bottle boss spacing before ordering. Most Indian road and MTB frames follow standard spacing, and this mount should fit without any issues across common frame sizes.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with standard dual-bolt bottle cage mounts found on road, MTB, and hybrid frames. Works with the vast majority of bottle cages available at Cobbled Climbs. Clean periodically to remove dust and grime — a dry cloth wipe after monsoon rides helps prevent corrosion at the bolt points. Use stainless or alloy bolts for longevity in humid conditions.

Pairs Well With

Complete your hydration setup with a quality bottle cage, insulated or standard cycling water bottles suited to India's heat, and a frame bag for longer rides through routes like Coorg or Ooty. A multi-tool is also worth adding to your kit for on-the-go adjustments.
