Derailleur Hanger for Scott

The Pilo D780 Derailleur Hanger is a precision-machined replacement dropout hanger designed specifically for Scott frames. A derailleur hanger is the first line of defence for your drivetrain — it sacrifices itself in a crash or tip-over so your frame stays intact. Keeping a spare on hand is essential for any rider in India, where rough road surfaces and tight urban traffic make minor incidents a regular reality.

Our Take

Indian roads — from the potholed stretches of Delhi's outer ring to the gravel-strewn descents around Ooty and Coorg — put unexpected stress on your drivetrain. A bent or snapped hanger can end a ride instantly, and Scott-specific hangers are not the kind of thing you find at a roadside mechanic. The Pilo D780 is machined to tight tolerances, giving you a reliable like-for-like replacement that keeps your Scott shifting crisply and your derailleur correctly aligned without the guesswork of a generic fit.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Derailleur hangers are frame-specific, not rider-specific, so body size is irrelevant here. What matters is confirming your exact Scott frame model and year before ordering. Scott has used several hanger profiles across its road, gravel, and mountain bike ranges. Cross-check your frame's model name against the D780 compatibility list to ensure a correct fit — if unsure, note your frame's model and contact Cobbled Climbs before ordering.

Compatibility Notes

The Pilo D780 is engineered for specific Scott frame models — verify compatibility with your exact frame year and model before purchase. It works with standard rear derailleur mounting threads and is compatible across Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo derailleur families. Clean the dropout threads before installation and torque to the manufacturer's specification. Carry a spare in your saddle bag on long rides.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain care kit with a rear derailleur (Shimano or SRAM), a quality chain checker and chain lubricant suited to India's dusty or wet conditions, and a set of derailleur limit-setting tools. A compact multi-tool that includes the correct Allen key for hanger installation is a worthwhile addition to any ride bag.
