Derallieur Hanger BMC, Motobecane, Rainbow, Rock Machine, Silverback, Steiger, Superior

The Pilo D791 Derailleur Hanger is a precision-machined replacement dropout hanger compatible with select Author, Bianchi, BMC, and Conway frames. For Indian cyclists who push their bikes hard on potholed city roads, rocky Deccan plateau trails, or the punishing descents around Lonavala and Khandala, a spare derailleur hanger is essential kit — it's the first line of defence protecting your expensive drivetrain from impact damage.

Our Take

In India's riding conditions — broken tarmac in Pune, speed bumps across Delhi, and gravel-strewn climbs in Coorg — derailleur hangers take a beating. The Pilo D791 is machined to tight tolerances, ensuring your rear derailleur sits at precisely the correct angle for accurate indexing. Pilo's reputation among workshop mechanics for consistent quality makes this one of the most reliable replacement options available, and at Rs. 4,481 it's far cheaper than replacing a bent derailleur or a damaged frame dropout.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Derailleur hangers are frame-specific, not rider-specific, so sizing here means confirming your exact frame model and year. The D791 fits select Author, Bianchi, BMC, and Conway frames — verify your frame's model name and production year before ordering. If you are unsure, photograph your existing hanger and contact Cobbled Climbs before purchase. Heat and humidity do not affect fit, but always carry a spare on longer rides in remote areas like Leh or Ooty.

Compatibility Notes

The Pilo D791 is compatible with select Author, Bianchi, BMC, and Conway frames. It works across Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo rear derailleurs provided your frame is on the compatibility list. No special tools beyond a standard Allen key set are required for installation. Keep threads clean and lightly lubricated to prevent corrosion during monsoon riding.

Pairs Well With

Round out your drivetrain protection and workshop kit with a quality rear derailleur from Shimano or SRAM, a chain checker tool for regular wear monitoring, a derailleur alignment gauge for precise setup, and a compact multi-tool to carry on every ride.
