Derailleur Hanger Bolt

The Pilo S20 Derailleur Hanger Plug is a precision-machined replacement component designed to protect your dropout thread when a derailleur hanger is not in use or has been damaged. A small part that carries serious responsibility, it keeps your frame's dropout clean, thread-intact, and ready for your next ride — whether that's a Pune weekend warrior session or a Leh expedition.

Our Take

Indian roads are unforgiving. From the potholed stretches of Hyderabad's outer ring roads to the loose gravel descents around Khandala, derailleur hangers take a beating — and when one snaps, the dropout thread is exposed to dust, grit, and monsoon moisture. The Pilo S20 plug is the kind of overlooked insurance policy every serious rider should carry. Machined to tight tolerances, it fits cleanly and keeps your frame protected between hanger replacements.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The S20 designation refers to the specific frame dropout thread pattern this plug is designed for — this is not a garment sizing consideration. Before ordering, verify your frame's hanger spec matches S20. European and Asian frame brands often use differing dropout standards, so cross-reference your bike's manual or contact Cobbled Climbs for confirmation before purchase.

Compatibility Notes

The Pilo S20 plug is compatible with frames using the S20 dropout thread standard. It does not replace an active derailleur hanger but protects the thread when the hanger is removed. Suitable for road, gravel, and mountain bike frames sharing this dropout spec. Clean the dropout thread before installation to ensure a proper fit.
